CBA Preschool

The purpose of the preschool program at Calvary Baptist Academy is to provide a safe, fun, and loving atmosphere for children as they begin their school experience. We introduce children to letters and their sounds, number concepts, and basic letter formation all from a Christian perspective.

Enrollment Process

Requirements:

A school visit and tour is a required part of the enrollment process. Other requirements include preschool readiness, independent toileting, and an up-to-date vaccination record or an exemption form. Contact us to schedule a tour.

Applications:

Applications may be submitted at any time. Priority enrollment is offered to currently-enrolled families. Once they have been given an opportunity to register, enrollment will open to new families on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Admission Age

Children must be 3 years old on or before their first day of preschool.

Schedule and Tuition

Preschool classes meet from 7:30-5:00 and is open five days a week.

Tuition schedule:

• Three-Day (Mon/Wed/Fri) - $400 per month

• Five-Day (Mon-Fri) - $550 per month

The first month’s prorated tuition is due at the time of enrollment. After the first month, tuition will be billed at the beginning of each month for the schedule in which the child is enrolled. Tuition is non-refundable and will not be prorated.

Daily Schedule

7:30-8:30 - Arrival and Activity Time

8:30-11:30 - Learning Time

11:30-12:00 - Lunch Time

12:00 - Rest Time

2:00 - Activity Time

3:00 - Carline Pickup

3:00-5:00 - Activity Time

Arrival/Departure

Students can be dropped off beginning at 7:30, and all children need to be picked up no later than 5:00.

Parents will need to walk their child into the preschool building each morning, and other than during carline pickup, will need to come in to sign them out each afternoon. Students can only be picked up via carline between 2:30 and 3:15.

Please be aware, a late fee of $1 per minute per child will be added to your account for students not picked up by 5:00.

Signing In/Out

All children MUST be signed in and out by their parents each day of attendance, including students who are picked up during car line. Parents will need to walk their child into the classroom and sign them in for the day. Parents will also need to sign their child out at the end of each day at pick-up.

If you choose to pick your child up early in the day, please note that early check out ends at 2:30. Student checkout between 2:30 and 3:15 can only be done through carline.

If a child will be picked up by someone other than a parent, the parent will need to contact the child’s teacher. The designee will need to be prepared to show a picture ID before we release the child into their care.

Snacks/Lunch

Children will need to bring their snacks, drinks, and lunch for the day. We do not refrigerate or microwave lunches. Please make sure lunch boxes and water bottles are clearly labeled.

Rest Time

Providing a time for children to rest is a necessity for their growth. Parents will need to supply a child-sized mat and bedding for nap time, clearly labeled with their child’s name. After one hour of quiet time, children who remain awake may be allowed to do a quiet activity on their mats. Bedding will be sent home for washing every Friday or the last day of you child’s attendance for the week, and must be returned clean for the new week.

Dress

Please bring your child to preschool in comfortable play clothes appropriate for the weather—especially during the warmer months. We will go outside for playtime every day that the weather allows. Sneakers or rubber-soled shoes are recommended. In case of accidents, we ask that parents provide a complete change of clothes including socks and underwear in a gallon-size zip lock bag clearly marked with the child’s name. For girls wearing dresses, please have them add shorts to ensure modesty while playing.

Health Concerns

Children with a temperature 100 degrees or higher should be kept home until they are free of fever without fever-reducing medication for 48 hours. Children with colds, a colored nasal discharge, diarrhea, or vomiting should be kept at home until symptom free for 48 hours.

Parents are asked to notify your child’s teacher if your child comes down with a contagious disease such as, but not limited to, the flu, pink eye, head lice, etc.

Accidents/Emergencies

Should an accident or emergency arise, the child’s parent will be contacted. Should we not be able to reach the parents, the child’s emergency medical contact will be notified. If we are not able to contact you in an emergency situation, the child will be transported to the hospital. Parents will be responsible for all medical expenses.
